Nestled in one of the most beautiful regions in South Africa is a place called KwaMthetwa. Hidden in this beauty is a community stricken by poverty and traumatized by AIDS. In the local antenatal clinic, medical staff estimate that up to 40% of women that attend are HIV positive. This status, coupled with poverty means parents do not live very long and the orphan crisis mounts. It is a small out of the way place, but there is a significant need. In
2001 few concerned Christian citizens who witness the
crippling effects of HIV/AIDS on this fragile community founded MusaweNkosi
meaning "Gods Grace" in the Zulu. God is faithful and through him the ministry knows they can reach their ultimate goal of maintaining sustainable projects. They are determined to eventually establish a children's village of single home units and assist the community to become self-sustainable through skills development.
